With the departure this week of John Boule as director of California’s Office of Systems Integration, a familiar face in state government is coming in to serve as acting director.

Rebecca Stilling will serve as OSI director until Gov. Jerry Brown appoints a new candidate. Stilling is coming out of semi-retirement to fill the role, having previously served as the governor-appointed deputy director and chief of the Department of Technology’s Statewide Project Delivery office. Before that, she was deputy director of the Technology Services Division and CIO of the Department of Child Support Services.

OSI is the office that provides project management and oversight across health and human services IT projects.

Boule's last day is Friday. He's taking the position of executive director of the California Automated Consortium Eligibility System Project (CalACES).

CalACES came into being in September as a joint powers authority to provide representation and bargaining for multiple counties on procurement services for the statewide automated welfare system.
