Kiefer Consulting has announced that Shaun Wagner, a veteran solutions architect, will be joining the Folsom-based firm as a principal consultant.

Wagner has more than 20 years of experience delivering SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Azure, and other Microsoft technology solutions to private- and public-sector clients. He spent the past seven years with Roseville-based Taborda Solutions.

“Having been in the SharePoint space for a while now, I’ve interacted with Greg Kiefer and the Kiefer team on numerous occasions,” Wagner told Techwire. “It’s funny sometimes, the way things work out. With everything going on, here I have this chance to further utilize my skills and experience in SharePoint to help make a difference for state and local government, for those organizations that were upended and suddenly working remotely. At Kiefer, I’ll be able to help craft solutions that make sense in the era of the distributed workforce.”

During his career, Wagner has worked on SharePoint projects for agencies including the California Highway Patrol, the California Department of Justice, the California Department of Public Health and the California Department of Conservation.

Wagner received a bachelor’s degree in business administration – management information systems and minored in economics at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. Wagner’s first job out of college was with Electronic Arts, where he performed QA testing for popular sports videogame titles such as Madden NFL 99 and Tiger Woods Golf 99 PGA Tour Golf.

“We could not be more thrilled to have Shaun join our team,” said Kiefer, president of Kiefer Consulting. “We work extremely hard to build the best SharePoint and Microsoft 365 solutions team in California. Shaun brings with him an unrivaled skillset and a compelling catalogue of experience with state agencies. Our mission has always been to help government work better and Shaun helps us take a giant step forward toward achieving that goal.”
