Judicial Council Seeks E-Signature Tool

The Judicial Council of California is seeking a software solution for e-signatures to work across multiple judicial branch entities.

The Judicial Council of California is seeking a software solution for e-signatures to work across multiple judicial branch entities.

The solution will be either an on-premise physical option or a virtual one, with individual entities entering a service-level agreement for their choice.

For physical solutions, all work must take place at the location of the judicial branch entity while virtual solutions must retain all data, hardware and software within the United States.

The solution must also be available completely through a Web browser or mobile app and will not require any plug-ins or browser add-ons. It must be compatible with Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari and Google Chrome.

The tool will include an audit log that shows the entire history of each document, from its upload to viewing record, even who added elements and when. Two-factor authentication must also be available for building on. The solution must also be protected against ransomware and support data encryption.

Proposals are due Nov. 17.
