L.A. County Recruiting for Chief Data Officer, Chief Enterprise Architect

A California county government is recruiting for two key IT positions — a chief data officer and a chief enterprise architect.

Los Angeles County government is recruiting for two key IT positions — a chief data officer and a chief enterprise architect.

The chief data officer (CDO) leads the Enterprise Information Management Program in the county Office of the Chief Information Officer. “The CDO directs analytic processes, driving innovation and enterprise objectives,” the job posting says. The CDO is a senior executive who reports to the chief deputy director in the Office of the Chief Information Officer and manages 10 employees.

Applicants for the CDO position are encouraged to apply by Dec. 31. The salary range is $137,414 to $207,988 annually. More information on the position, the necessary qualifications and the application process is available online.   

The chief enterprise architect will lead and coordinate all aspects of the Enterprise Architecture Program, including business architecture, focused on guiding people, processes and organizational change; information architecture, focused on the consistent sharing of information across the organization; solutions architecture, focused on developing a direction for managing the portfolio of future solutions; and technical architecture, focused on advancing enterprise platforms and solutions.

This position also reports to the chief deputy director in the Office of the Chief Information Officer, and the salary range is the same as that for the CDO position. More information about this position, including application requirements, is available online.
