Logan Lemming, a veteran technologist and sales professional with a background in the public and private sectors, has returned to Ruckus Networks (by CommScope) as a territory account manager.

Lemming most recently had been a senior systems engineer for enterprise accounts with Qumulo, and before that he had a similar position with CommScope.

“In answer to why I’m returning to Ruckus Networks (by Commscope),” Lemming told Techwire, “the COVID pandemic really illustrated to me that we are nowhere near where we need to be with connectivity in California. … Ruckus has always been on the leading edge of getting people connected, and as a part of CommScope, we now supply every part of the network that a remote worker or learner uses to connect to the world.”

Lemming began his private-sector IT career in 2002 in network engineering and technical support analysis, with affiliations including Apple, before taking a series of increasingly responsible IT positions with the El Dorado County Office of Education, where he worked for 12 years. He rejoined the private sector working for Riverside Technologies before his affiliations with CommScope and Qumulo.

“On a more personal note, I see this role as a natural progression in my career,” Lemming said. “When I stepped into management during my time in K-12, I had to teach myself to see technology not as cool widgets, but as solutions to problems. I try to use that lens whenever I evaluate a hardware or software solution. Speed and feeds may sound exciting, but they are irrelevant unless they enhance the performance of an organization or remove an obstacle.”

Lemming is a graduate of Cosumnes River College and UC Davis, where he majored in network systems administration.
