The city of Riverside is seeking a new chief information security officer.
The previous CISO, George Khalil, served in the position for almost four years until he was promoted to chief information officer.
The CISO is responsible for citizen privacy, the city's cybersecurity and the disaster recovery plan.
"This position, under general direction of the Deputy Chief Innovation Officer and/or Chief Innovation Officer, directs citywide information security and cybersecurity programs that are designed to provide the protection and confidentiality of data, along with other information assets of the city of Riverside," the city's job posting reads.
The position has a salary of up to $145,000 a year.
