Over the last 24 years, Agrawal has held various lead roles in the technology industry, including having served as program manager, director, managing director and vice president with Visionary Integration Professionals; as a manager in the SLED practice of BearingPoint (KPMG Consulting); and as a senior consultant with Unisys Corp.

“I am excited for my new role and looking forward to partnering with our government customers to use Microsoft technologies to deliver fast, reliable and secure digital services to all Californians,” Agrawal told Industry Insider California.

The El Dorado Hills resident, who started in his new position this month, said he was drawn to Microsoft based on its products and its forward focus in working with state government.

“Microsoft is the world’s largest software company, providing an unparalleled set of IT solutions that span across the digital landscape,” Agrawal said. “These solutions include the entire stack of cloud infrastructure, platform and on-demand software services that share a common underlying foundation of data and work seamlessly together.

“In addition, Microsoft’s continued focus on developing the next generation of low-code, modern developer platforms and tools makes it an ideal partner for any state agency to meet their application modernization needs instead of relying on multiple, expensive and fragmented solutions.”

Agrawal has a bachelor’s degree in engineering and multiple professional credentials including Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Institute of Project Management and Certified Software Development Professional from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Rutgers University.
