Microsoft Promotes Mike Colon to Director of Customer Success for California Government

The veteran technologist has worked in the public and private sectors. Before joining Microsoft in 2014, he was with what’s now the California Department of Technology.

Colon, an El Dorado Hills resident, has more than 20 years in the technology industry, having worked in both the public and private sectors. He joined Microsoft in March 2014 as a technical account manager and was subsequently elevated to senior customer success account manager. Before joining Microsoft, Colon was a system software specialist for what is now the California Department of Technology.

Before joining the state, Colon had been a systems administrator for Simpata, whose products include customer relationship management (CRM), time-tracking and project management tools.

In his LinkedIn profile, Colon writes: “Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and organization on the planet to achieve more, and our team is focused on helping the citizens and organizations of the State of California do just that!”
