The Municipal Information Systems Association of California (MISAC) is accepting nominations for its Excellence in IT Practices Awards Programs for submissions. The program awards IT agencies at the county level at each conference.
Submissions are due by Aug. 10, in either paper or electronic format.
There are two levels of awards, achievement and excellence, in the areas of excellence and quality in IT practices, graphical information, innovation and presidents.
Submissions include questionnaires and supporting materials. Three IT directors review and offer feedback to each submission, which effectively offers an audit of a department's operation.
Evaluation questions include disaster preparation inquiries, mobile device management and security analysis.
