MTX Group Names Tech Veteran Plain to Account Exec Role

Technology veteran Russ Plain has been named account executive by MTX Group, which provides “out-of-the-box features and capabilities” for multiple industries and the public sector.

Plain has worked in various executive capacities in California and Chicago for most of his career, including sales and business development roles with Ernst & Young, CSC, Kabira Technologies, Latitude Communications, Cisco Systems, CDW·G, OpenText and, most recently, Visionary Integration Professionals (VIP).

MTX offers a variety of products, including solutions for emergency response management, permits and licenses, constituent engagement, a learning management system, and applications for inspections and election canvassing.

In his LinkedIn profile, Plain notes his areas of expertise as business development, product management, wide area networks and network security.

He is a graduate of the University of Chicago with a bachelor of arts degree in mathematics.
