Nomination Deadline is Wednesday for Best of California Awards

The program was established to recognize California state and local government and education organizations for their dedication, hard work and contributions in information technology. All government and education officials, executives and staff in California are invited to submit nominations. An Evaluation Committee will review submissions and select recipients.

The nomination deadline for the prestigious "Best of California Awards" program, presented by the Center for Digital Government,* is Wednesday.

The program was established to recognize California state and local government and education organizations for their dedication, hard work and contributions in information technology. All government and education officials, executives and staff in California are invited to submit nominations. An Evaluation Committee will review submissions in the following categories and select recipients.

All projects nominated must be in production and fully operational by the submission deadline.

There are eight categories in which entries may be submitted:
— Demonstrated Excellence in Project Management
— Best Application Serving an Agency’s Business Needs
— Best Application Serving the Public
— Best IT Collaboration
— Most Innovative IT Workforce Initiative
— Most Innovative Use of Citizen Engagement
— Best Mobile/Wireless Project
— Most Innovative Use of Data and Analytics
