The Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District is seeking proposals for software hosting and technical support for its PeopleSoft enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.

“Looking for a Tier 1 PeopleSoft Solution provider to offer variety of services we are seeking,” says a LinkedIn post by Ahsan Baig, chief information officer for the Bay Area transit district. “An awesome opportunity for the ERP vendors …”

The district uses Oracle’s PeopleSoft FSCM, HCM and Integration Hub applications, and it’s “interested in moving these applications to a private/public cloud-based platform,” an explanatory document states. “The successful vendor will work with the district to provide hosting services that meet the technical specifications and criteria set forth in the RFP.”

The district plans to award the fixed-price contract with consideration given to the “overall price, experience and responsiveness to this RFP,” the document says. It’s a three-year contract with two one-year options. The RFP can be found online, and interested vendors are advised to register with the county. Bids are due by July 2. The district’s technology page includes its Enterprise Resource Catalog and other information of interest to vendors.

CIO Baig was a presenter at last fall’s conference of the Municipal Information Systems Association of California (MISAC), delivering a presentation called “Connected Bus – A Digital Transformation Journey.”
