Orange County has finalized a prime contract with Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) for IT managed services and solutions, the company announced this week.
The contract is set for three years at $51 million with options for two one-year extensions. If both extensions are used, the entire cost would be $77 million.
SAIC will provide converged network, voice communications, a security operations center and IT service management.
The voice solution will be on-premises, and the SOC will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, providing monitoring, incident assessments and vulnerability assessments.
Orange County government has 25 departments to serve its 3 million residents.
