Orange County to Start $77M IT Contract

Orange County has begun a prime contract with Science Applications International Corp. for IT managed services and solutions.

Orange County has finalized a prime contract with Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) for IT managed services and solutions, the company announced this week.

The contract is set for three years at $51 million with options for two one-year extensions. If both extensions are used, the entire cost would be $77 million.

SAIC will provide converged network, voice communications, a security operations center and IT service management.

The voice solution will be on-premises, and the SOC will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, providing monitoring, incident assessments and vulnerability assessments.

Orange County government has 25 departments to serve its 3 million residents.
