Taborda Solutions has named Justin Edgar to the newly created position of Security Practice Director. While new to the Taborda ranks, he has long worked with Taborda as a partner and security consultant.

"His natural leadership and team-building skills, coupled with his strong expertise in the security field, make him a perfect fit for Taborda’s growing portfolio," the company said in a statement.

Taborda, a noted reseller of security solutions in the Sacramento area for years, has worked with partners such as FireEye, Splunk and Oracle on security solutions for government.

In 2019, with Edgar in his new leadership role, Taborda will be growing a full-fledged security practice providing tools, services, and security consultants to its government partners.

“This is the next logical step in Taborda’s security evolution," said Jeff Smith, Taborda’s founder and president. "With the expertise Justin brings to the table, we will be in a better position to provide our clients with all the tools and the resources they need to ensure they stay at the forefront of information security.”

Edgar, a former Army combat leader and graduate of West Point with a degree in engineering and computer science, spent the last 10 years working as a solutions architect and cloud security engineer at FireEye and Mandiant.
