Veteran IT sales and management executive Kristine Fisher has been named U.S. SLED Partner account manager by Qlik.

Fisher has held roles as a procurement officer for the Air Force and California state government and as capture manager for Dell/EMC, sales account executive for SHI, channel sales manager for Splunk, and alliances executive for Pegasystems. In her new role, she is leading Qlik’s efforts to build out the channel for state, local, education and health care in the U.S. and Canada.

Fisher said she plans to leverage her background in data center solutions, software platforms, SaaS, security, and business intelligence to help Qlik grow partnerships with companies that seek insights from technology — what she calls “active intelligence through near-real-time data and integration.”

“My career began in the United States Air Force, where I achieved Level 2 Certification for advanced contract pricing, negotiation, sole source selection, and contract law and obtained expert knowledge in Federal Acquisition Regulations,” Fisher notes in her LinkedIn profile. “My career continued while serving as a procurement officer for the state of California by acquiring and managing some of the largest, most complex information technology contracts. In the private sector, I’ve managed strategic national programs for contracts and sales.”

Fisher said her areas of expertise include channel management, pipeline generation, forecasting, contract compliance, business development, RFP management, procurement policy and procedure, budget preparation and management, and process improvement.

“At this time of unprecedented change, it is more important than ever for technology to provide real-time value and understanding of data, while solving issues for government employees and citizens,” she told Techwire. “Supporting the partners who sell into the industry is my passion.”

The Sacramento resident is active in numerous professional organizations including Women in Cloud, Women in Technology, Women In Technology International, and the National Contract Managers Association. She’s a frequent public speaker, and recently was a featured speaker at Women in Cloud’s 2020 Summit. Fisher is a graduate of California State University at Sacramento with a bachelor’s degree in English.
