The city of Sacramento is recruiting candidates for three important IT jobs — an IT supervisor, a senior applications developer and a principal application developer.


— The city is seeking an Information Technology Supervisor to lead the Systems Engineering Team within the city IT Department’s Public Safety Information Technology Division. The position will be responsible for “providing leadership, managing workload, leading large-scale projects, conducting yearly staff reviews and procuring equipment. This position will be managing ongoing network and infrastructure maintenance and support, and providing excellent customer service. This position is required to act as a technical liaison supporting a wide range of hardware and software systems used throughout Public Safety.” The position has an annual salary range of $85,421 to $112,080. Applications close May 30.


— The city is seeking candidates for a one-year position as Senior Applications Developer (SharePoint) within the Enterprise Applications Division of the Department of Information Technology, and is responsible for the overall development, management and maintenance of the city's SharePoint online system. “This is a highly technical position that provides a wide range of application development related duties, technical support and day-to-day administration responsibilities,” the city notice says. “The position is expected to work closely with the city's stakeholders to support the development and implementation of a robust, efficient and comprehensive document sharing solution. The incumbent is expected to have a strong understanding and demonstrated expertise in Microsoft SharePoint Online, Office 365 and Azure. In addition, the ideal candidate is expected to work on very tight timelines and with competing priorities.” The position has an annual salary of $81,638 to $107,116. Applications close May 18.


 The city is seeking a Principal Application Developer “with sound project management and technical experience.” The position is in the Information Technology Enterprise Application Management Division, and the chosen candidate will lead a team of application developers in supporting permitting solutions to enhance business processes throughout the organization. “This position will be responsible for the development, configuration, and technical support efforts for managing the cloud hosted Permitting System. The incumbent will be expected to work under tight timelines and competing priorities. This individual will also support the implementation of several large technology initiatives and projects that are aligned with the City's Digital Strategy,” the post says. The position has an annual salary range of $85,421 to $112,080.
