Sacramento Updates RAILS Grant Information

The city of Sacramento has changed details on its RAILS grant applications.

The city of Sacramento, which has been taking applications for its RAILS (Rapid Acceleration Innovation and Leadership) grant program, has published changes to the applications.

The changes include limiting word counts on replies to long-form questions and adding example programs to define Acceleration, Innovation and Leadership, which are main tenets of the program.

The changes also updated the application with the corrected program dates.

The Innovation office also incorporated startup enablers and social entrepreneurship as part of the other focus areas in an effort to promote the Sacramento Urban Technology Lab.

Other changes include:

  • Making it mandatory to select a priority neighborhood or none
  • Changing the wording around the Thousand Strong employer question and reminder to include $4,000 in budget summary
