Rossman, who’s based in Newport Beach, joined the company three years ago as a sales executive in SLED/West. Jeff Kidwell, SailPoint’s vice president of Vertical Markets, said Rossman’s track record earned him the promotion.

“Richard has been leading SailPoint’s Identity Security efforts as an account executive since 2019 in California,” Kidwell told Techwire. “SailPoint is fortunate to have Richard now lead SailPoint’s efforts with an expanded team in the West as more public-sector organizations adopt SailPoint’s Identity Security platform.”

Rossman has more than 18 years’ experience working with the public sector, working with software and cybersecurity companies including CrowdStrike, Proofpoint, Dell Software and Quest Software. His roles included regional sales manager and account manager.

“I am very excited for this opportunity to lead the Western SLED team as we continue to earn the trust and partnership of our state/local and education clients throughout California and the rest of the country,” Rossman told Techwire. “SailPoint’s Identity Security solutions secure and enable hundreds of public-sector organizations, giving our customers unmatched visibility into the entirety of their digital workforce, ensuring that each worker has the right access to do their job — no more, no less — all while improving overall business processes, their security posture and meeting and exceeding compliance and auditing requirements.”

Rossman is a graduate of West Virginia University, having earned his bachelor’s degree in business and communications. In his off time, he enjoys outdoor activities including skiing, mountain biking, golfing and gardening. He describes himself as an avid home chef and barbecue aficionado.
