San Leandro Announces New GIS Dashboard

San Leandro is furthering its effort for transparency by adding GIS data to its open data dashboard.

The city of San Leandro is furthering its effort for transparency by adding GIS data to its open data dashboard.

Earlier in 2017, the city launched a dashboard that has been recognized by the Digital Cities Survey. Wednesday, the city's website posted a blog announcing a new GIS-based portal.

The GIS portal provides maps of the city that the public can use to check pavement and drain conditions, dates of street sweeping and zoning requirements.

So far there are five maps on the dashboard, all based on the city's GIS data.

Other dashboards include business license information, the city website's analytics, crime statistics and park information.
