SLED Exec Takes VP Role with World Wide Technology

He's a longtime IT leader who serves on numerous industry boards and committees. He'll be staying in the SLED sector with WWT.

Shawn Rodriguez has been named World Wide Technology’s new vice president of State and Local Government and Education (SLED), a similar position he most recently held with Forescout Technologies.

While with Forescout, Rodriguez “was collaboratively responsible for the development and execution of all go-to-market strategies and activities including field sales hiring and enablement, field marketing, contract capture, business development, channel recruitment and growth, and vertical solutions, all leading to one of the highest growth teams, globally, in the company,” according to World Wide Technology.

Before Forescout, Rodriguez was area vice president of SLED for Splunk. Prior to Splunk, Rodriguez held various sales and leadership positions, all focused on SLED, with NetApp and Nortel Networks. 

Rodriguez has served on numerous boards and committees with organizations such as the National Association of State Chief Information Officers (NASCIO), the Commonwealth of Virginia Innovative Technology Symposium (COVITS) and the Commonwealth of Virginia Joint Commission on Technology and Science, and he currently serves on the SLED Executive Council for CompTIA.

He has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Belk College of Business at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
