The Financial Information System for California (FI$Cal) is recruiting for a business intelligence services manager (information technology manager 1) to assume “full management responsibility for organizing, planning, and directing all activities associated with the FI$Cal Business Intelligence Services (BIS) Section. This section is responsible for design, development, implementation, and ongoing support of complex IT, BI and data analytics applications, open data/big data initiatives, their data sources, and data extraction, transformation and load components that extract data from FI$Cal Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System databases and other departmental source systems, transform and publish that data to BI applications and FI$Cal transparency website as applicable. The manager is also responsible for administrative management of the FI$Cal Hyperion staff.” The position has a monthly salary range of $7,376 to $9,884, and the application and more information are available on the job listing. Covered California is looking for a deputy chief information officer for strategic initiatives (Career Executive Assignment) to lead the IT Division’s Strategic Initiatives Branch. The deputy CIO is “responsible for updating and implementing Covered California's IT strategic plan, in addition to rendering policy advice to executive leadership and implementing IT policy throughout the organization. Major responsibilities include but are not limited to: serving as the primary California CalHEERs liaison, as well as the oversight of the system development life cycle, IT solutions, Enterprise Project Management Office and technology innovations, all of which play a critical role in achieving the mission of Covered California.” The position has a monthly salary range of $10,010 to $11,924. And the Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle), a department within the California Environmental Protection Agency, is recruiting for an enterprise systems architect (IT specialist 2) to “act as a lead architect for the department’s Microsoft Azure cloud, server and network infrastructure. The incumbent provides a high level of innovation, leadership, planning, and ensures their work is closely coordinated with management and other senior technical staff. Incumbents perform a wide variety of tasks requiring innovative problem solving where guidance is not readily available. Incumbents optimize and apply cloud solutions for the benefit of the overall organization and play a major role in advising management or formulating information technology strategy and policy within the organization.” The position has a monthly salary range of $6,777 to $9,081, and more information and an application link are available in the job listing.
