State Agencies Seek Chief IT Officer, Project Management Specialist

Two state government departments are accepting applications for IT leadership positions.

The state Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) is seeking a Chief Information Technology Officer to take a strong hand in planning, directing and overseeing the department’s IT initiatives. The position also includes management of the department.

The position, which reports to the deputy director of the Administration, Finance, and Information Technology Services Division, is classified as a Career Executive Assignment (C.E.A.), and it has an annual salary range of $83,000-$190,000. The application deadline is April 3.

California Health and Human Services' Office of Systems Integration is seeking a Project Management Specialist to conduct, develop and support schedule management, risk and issue management, cost management, quality management, communications management, organizational change management (OCM), status reporting, testing, and validation of the Appeals Case Management System (ACMS).

The position requires familiarity with agile project management, the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and the California Project Management Framework (CA-PMF), and knowledge and experience in project management. The position has an annual salary range that tops out at $95,500, and the application deadline is March 23.
