State, County Governments to Present at Virtual Job Fair

Among the state agencies participating in the event is the Office of Systems Integration (OSI), whose mission is “to procure, manage and deliver technology systems that support the delivery of health and human services to Californians.”

At least six state government departments — including one centered on information technology — are teaming up with Placer County for a virtual job fair Tuesday afternoon.

Among the state agencies participating in the event is the Office of Systems Integration (OSI), whose mission is “to procure, manage and deliver technology systems that support the delivery of health and human services to Californians.” OSI currently is recruiting for a deputy director for its Child Welfare Digital Services branch, among other positions.

In addition to OSI, participating state agencies include the California Department of Transportation, CalRecycle, the Department of Fish and Wildlife, the California Prison Industry Authority, and California State Parks. Other participants include El Dorado County government.

The free event runs from 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday. Details and registration information are available online.

The event is being presented by two nonprofits — the Placer County Business Advantage Network and Golden Sierra Job Training Agency.

The Placer County Business Advantage Network is a team of workforce development professionals who provide free hiring assistance to businesses and information regarding training and hiring opportunities to job seekers.

The Golden Sierra Job Training Agency is a product of a 30-year collaboration among the counties of Placer, El Dorado and Alpine on workforce development issues.  The partnership is managed by one representative from each of the respective counties’ boards of supervisors.
