State Hospitals Recruiting for Key IT Roles

The Department of State Hospitals has several positions in recruitment, one of which has an application deadline of Tuesday. The department is seeking to fill the following roles:

  • Client Services Team Site Manager (IT Supervisor I), a position at Atascadero in San Luis Obispo County. The responsibilities for this position include “assessing service desk ticket logs, developing technology standards, troubleshooting complex information technology problems, resolving conflicts, training staff, and documenting processes,” according to the job posting. “Duties include on-boarding and off-boarding of staff and drafting probation reports and individual development plans.” This position has a monthly salary range of $6,291 to $8,430, and the application deadline is Tuesday.
  • Two business analyst positions (IT Specialist I) in the Business Management Section, Business Analytics Unit. The duties include providing project management and IT business analysis functions to ensure effective management of IT projects as well as compliance with key policies such as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and state information security policies, according to the job posting. “The primary duties of the IT Specialist I lie within the Business Technology Management and IT Project Management domains of the IT Specialist I classification.” This includes “management or oversight of all phases of the project management and system development life cycles to ensure efficient and effective delivery of a unique information technology product, service, or system.” In addition, the role has business technology management elements including IT policy and program development, IT portfolio management, IT procurement, process re-engineering, business analysis, research and development, strategic planning, product and/or delivery strategy. Must be able to travel to all DSH sites. The monthly salary range for this position is $5,297 to $8,570, and the application deadline is May 18.
  • IT Manager I, who will work under the general direction of the Chief Technology Officer, according to the job posting. The IT Manager I is responsible for “the management and alignment of IT resources according to DSH’s priorities and needs, including activities such as IT policy and program development, IT portfolio management, service performance management, process re-engineering, business analysis, research and development, strategic planning, digital service user experience management, content design, and product and delivery strategy.” The monthly salary range for this position is $7,634 to $10,230, and the application deadline is May 20.
