State IT Veteran Ghomeshi Joins Graviton Consulting

Ghomeshi will focus on “collaboration, partnership, planning and marketing initiatives,” according to his LinkedIn profile.

Mehdi Ghomeshi, a longtime IT leader in state government, has joined the private sector.

Ghomeshi’s new role is director of state practice for Graviton Consulting Services, in which he will focus on “collaboration, partnership, planning and marketing initiatives,” according to his LinkedIn profile.

Ghomeshi’s most recent role with the state was as deputy director for the Financial Information System for California (FI$Cal). Before that, he had served as chief information officer for the California High-Speed Rail Authority. His previous roles with the state were with the Department of Social Services and the state’s Teale Data Center, now part of the Department of Technology Services.

He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and economics from California State University at Sacramento and a Project Management Professional certification from the University of California, Davis.
