State government’s 10 biggest purchases of IT goods so far this month total almost $25 million, with $5 million of that going toward training simulators purchased by the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.).

Here are the 10 largest contracts awarded in June, across all departments and ranked by amount, as reported on the website of the Financial Information System for California (FI$Cal). This list includes the purchasing agency, the item, the amount and the supplier.

  • P.O.S.T. purchased training simulators for peace officers at a total cost of $5 million through Meggitt Training Systems.
  • The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) bought HP laptops and accessories at a cost of $4,512,250 from NWN Corp.
  • The California Department of Technology purchased Microsoft 365 Enterprise licensing at a cost of $3,603,230 from Crayon Software Experts.
  • The Department of Public Health bought MarkLogic bundled software for $1,925,408 from Kambrian Corp.
  • The Department of Child Support Services (DCSS) purchased IBM WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment, a bundled application, for $1,914,810 through Allied Network Solutions.
  • DMV bought Cisco Server and Network Address Translation routers for network refresh, at a cost of $1,826,713, from Presidio Networked Solutions Group.
  • The Department of Social Services bought unspecified software at a cost of $1,628,315 from HF Tech Services.
  • The Employment Development Department bought HPE “XP7 Flash Module Chassis Support” for $1,536,967 from NWN Solutions Corp.
  • The Secretary of State’s Office bought an Anypoint Platform base subscription for $1,450,000 from Outreach Solutions as a Service.
  • DCSS bought Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server with Smart Management + Satellite for $1,308,216 from Allied Network Solutions.
The total spend to date this month from the 10 largest IT goods purchases was approximately $24,706,000.
