Taborda Adds Senior GIS Consultant, Senior Project Manager

The Folsom-based firm, which does business with state, local and federal governments as well as in health care and the private sector, is expanding its Project Management Office.

Taborda Solutions, which has been growing its ranks in the first half of 2019, has announced two more additions to the company, whose solutions include systems integration projects, customized XaaS/cloud offerings, application development, software/hardware resale and staffing. Its clients include state, local and federal government as well as education, health care and private-sector companies.

Taborda has named Shital Dhakal to the position of senior consultant for Graphic Information Systems (GIS). Most recently, he worked for a Bay Area-based startup as a consulting GIS coordinator for the California city of Pittsburg for more than three years, helping the city implement its GIS strategies and deploy Web and mobile GIS applications. He is a certified GIS Professional (GISP).

Dhakal has a master of science degree and a Graduate Certificate in GIS from Boise State University, Idaho. He has presented in various national and international conferences including the Esri User Conference, the International Federation of Surveyors (FIG) Conference and the American Geophysical Union (AGU) fall meeting. Taborda has also announced that Scott Hamilton has joined the firm as senior project manager, part of the expansion of its Project Management Office (PMO). 

Hamilton has 24 years' experience in project management methodology as both an educator and practitioner. He has also been chief executive officer of PM Accelerated Learning Services LLC. 

“He brings his genuine passion for teaching and extensive real-world experience to our rapidly growing PMO and will help us set the stage for Taborda’s ever increasing portfolio of products and offerings,” said Michael Ruelas, vice president of operations for the Folsom-based firm.

Hamilton has earned numerous certifications and accolades throughout his career including his PMP, SMC, ITIL, and Six Sigma. Hamilton is a graduate of CSU Sacramento and Villanova University. He may be contacted by email
