Tech Veteran Pangelinan Joins PCG as Solutions Architect

Al Pangelinan has worked with more than a dozen state government agencies, including the Office of Systems Integration, the Secretary of State’s Office, the Department of Motor Vehicles and the Employment Development Department.

Al Pangelinan, a veteran of software development and project management, has joined Public Consulting Group as a solutions architect.

Pangelinan, based in the Sacramento area, has more than 25 years’ experience in enterprise software development, Web application development, project management and independent project oversight. He has a host of industry certifications, including PMI-ACP, Certified Scrum Master, Certified Scrum Developer, AWS Certified Cloud practitioner and Certified SAFe 4 Agilist, and he is Salesforce-badged.  

Pangelinan has worked with more than a dozen state government agencies, developed relationships with several agency leaders and served as a trusted adviser, according to Bret Mohninger, PCG vice president. Those agencies include the Office of Systems Integration, the Secretary of State’s Office, the Department of Motor Vehicles and the Employment Development Department.

“Al joined PCG’s technology consulting team to not only expand our IV&V and Project Management service lines, but to help us grow our agile systems integration practice in Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Cloud platforms that support public-sector projects in California and across the nation,” Mohninger told Techwire in an email.   

Pangelinan is an adjunct professor of information technology at Sierra College. He has his bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering/math from Sacramento State University and his master’s in business administration from the University of Phoenix.
