Jason Singer, a technology veteran of the public and private sectors, has been named territory manager by Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company.

“I’m excited to deliver cloud-native and data-driven solutions to the state of California,” Singer told Techwire.

Singer, who lives in the Sacramento area, most recently worked as a system engineer for Aruba, a role he held for almost five years before transitioning to the sales side.

Before joining Aruba, Singer worked as an IT specialist for the Legislative Data Center for more than 15 years.

“My crowning achievement while working for the Legislative Data Center was the successful implementation of the state Capitol Wireless Project,” he said, “not only from a technology stance, but also equally important was the coordination and effort across multiple agencies. I’m thankful for the 16 years of experience and opportunities I had as public-sector employee as well as the relationships and friendship I gained. As I transition from a technical role to account management, I am just as thankful that I get to continue to work with the state of California.”

Before working for the Legislative Data Center, Singer owned and operated Audio Video Connection, which specialized in home theater/automation design and installation.

In his LinkedIn profile, Singer describes his experience, strengths and skills as including:

  • Enterprise Wi-Fi project manager
  • Configure/install/maintain wireless and security products
  • Gather requirements and workflows to simplify end-user’s experience
  • Successful deployment of large campus Wi-Fi network
Singer is a Sacramento native, having graduated from Christian Brothers High School and Sacramento City College.
