VIP Names Steele to Lead State-Local Government Group

Visionary Integration Professionals (VIP) has named technology executive Judy Steele the director of the State and Local Government – Pre-Sales and Delivery Support team.

Steele has more than 10 years of senior-level IT management and leadership experience in the public and private sectors, according to a news release from the Folsom-based company.

“She has worked with numerous clients and staff teams to successfully implement commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) permitting and licensing solutions,” the release says. “Her experience spans numerous domains including cannabis and alcoholic beverage control.”

Steele has held several leadership roles in the cannabis domain, VIP said, “and uniquely understands how industry automation tools can help support customers’ pre-defined cannabis goals.”

Before joining VIP, Steele was director of Cannabis Regulation for Accela and served as a cannabis and alcohol regulatory and licensing specialist in Aurora, Colo.

Steele is a graduate of the University of Denver, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration, management and operations. She is also a certified Scrum Master. In her free time, Steele enjoys volunteering, hiking in the Colorado mountains and spending quality time with her family.
