As many cities, counties, special districts, and educational systems throughout the Golden State move away from legacy systems and acquire next-generation technologies, it is important to stretch tight budgets, especially when accessing public funds. The Software Licensing Program (SLP) program administered by the Department of General Services, Procurement Division, negotiates discounts and contracts for this very purpose. The initiative also ensures vendors, like McAfee, meet strict minimum standards to be listed, including compliance with SIMM 5355-A: a new Endpoint Protection Standard developed by the California Department of Technology’s Office of Information Security. For those agencies looking for a best-in-class endpoint protection product, McAfee is now an option under Contract # SLP-19-70-0064I. The McAfee SLP Plus products include MVISION Endpoint, MVISON EDR, Cloud Workload (Essential and Advance), MOVE, and Virus Scan. And as a Cybersecurity Excellence Award Winner, agencies have access to an insights-driven platform, the power of a billion sensors worldwide and state-of-the-art analytics.
