Continuous Data Protection: A New Era of Backup and Recovery

IDC Technology Spotlight - Zerto Cloud Continuity Platform

A recent IDC survey of small and medium-sized business (SMB) users revealed that 67% have a recovery time requirement of less than four hours, and 31% have a recovery time requirement of less than two hours. Additionally, IDC estimates that as many as half of all organizations have insufficient business continuity and disaster recovery plans to meet business requirements, or to even survive a disaster. This has led to:

  • A gap in user expectations for tolerable downtime and what IT is prepared to deliver.
  • IT professionals not being given the budget to buy the necessary infrastructure to meet user expectations.
Although business continuity is perhaps the top use case for cloud computing, simply focusing on this one use limits the broad potential of cloud, especially in a hybrid cloud context.

Download this IDC Technology Spotlight to learn more about how Zerto's Cloud Continuity Platform helps solves these challenges and more.
