Resource Center: How to Use New Stimulus Funding to Boost Your Tech

Granicus is committed to empowering governments with step-by-step guidance on how to navigate new stimulus funding.

In 2020, hundreds of state and local government agencies took advantage of CARES Act funds to accelerate their ability to provide digital experiences and information to their whole communities, especially hard-to-reach populations.  The $1.9 trillion in U.S. federal stimulus known as the American Rescue Plan is now available for states, local governments, transit systems, and education providers through direct aid and economic stimulus.
This landmark stimulus bill corrects many of the shortcomings of the CARES act by providing enhanced flexibility and a much longer timeframe (projects are eligible through Dec. 31, 2024) for state and local governments to use the funds, covering both new and existing projects.

Since the pandemic hit, Civic Engagement company, Granicus saw a dramatic 43% increase of messages sent from it's govDelivery platform.  That includes more than 6 billion COVID-related messagesthat their customers sent to connect their communities to the information and services they needed to navigate the rapidly evolving COVID-19 situation.

More than 4,500 government agencies use Granicus to modernize their online services, web presence, and communications strategies. These digital solutions help government actively reach, inform, and engage citizens, all which meet the parameters to be eligible for this new stimulus funding.
