The outlook for 2020 in state and local government is one that embraces innovation and transformation, but cybersecurity tops the list. Recently, the National Association of State Chief Information Offices (NASCIO) released the State CIO Top 10 for 2020 and both innovation and transformation through technology were added to the list of priorities for the very first time. Digital transformation ranks second and legacy modernization rejoined the list after a few years on hiatus.
