“In my new role at Salesforce as the digital transformation industry executive, I will be helping state and local governments reimagine services worldwide,” Hansen said in an email. “The role is a mix of thought leadership, strategy, program execution, planning and partner engagement.”

Hansen had served as Clark County’s deputy CIO since August 2018, and she was named CIO in December 2019 after a national recruitment. Her last day as CIO was Friday.

According to her LinkedIn profile, Hansen ran her own small IT consulting agency, Result Logix, for four years before joining county government. Before that, she worked in both the private and public sectors as a director of business intelligence services for VizExplorer, which makes software for casinos; as an analyst and project manager for the city of Henderson, Nev.; as an analyst/programmer for Clark County; and as a spokeswoman, data specialist and web developer for various companies.

“It’s been a privilege serving as CIO for Clark County,” Hansen told Techwire. “I am honored to have led the Information Technology department and to have worked with all the talented public servants to grow and strengthen Clark County’s brand.”

In a LinkedIn post announcing her move, Hansen wrote: “In my new role at Salesforce, I get to help state and local governments across the globe reimagine services in this post-pandemic digital-first world. Looking forward to joining the Salesforce Ohana and working with all the exceptional trailblazers!”
